Fonden støtter
- Research groups by awarding the possibility to host a conference on front line research in medical, pharmaceutical, and related sciences (The Benzon Symposium)
- Danish scientists with the Benzon Symposium. The Symposium is awarded after application and is held in Copenhagen and the maximum number of participants is 150 including invited speakers
- By planning and organizing the Symposium. This is done by one or more members of the Foundations board of trustees in collaboration with the applicants
- By bringing together leading experts within a given field to present and discuss their research and to facilitate interaction between top international scientists and younger scientists
- By featuring 20-25 state of the art presentations by invited scientists, shorter oral presentations and poster presentations selected by the organizing committee from abstracts submitted by potential participants, preferentially younger scientists
